Torre di Palme
It is a picturesque village that stands on the Marche hillside overlooking the Adriatic coast, in the province of Fermo. From up here, the view gives you poetic glimpses! Move through its narrow alleys, little houses with colorful flowers and enjoy the view of the sea.
Fermo
This medieval city has preserved its ancient identity over the centuries. The Cathedral, built on the ruins of a pagan temple, the underground cisterns from Roman times and the famous Sala del Mappamondo in the Palazzo dei Priori are some of the must-sees.
Pedaso
A symbol of the maritime town of Pedaso is its historic lighthouse, built in 1877, which rises from the coast amidst the vegetation: from the top, the view ranges from the Sibillini Mountains to Croatia. Be enchanted by the spectacular sky at the astronomical observatory on Mount Serrone!
San Benedetto del Tronto
It is among the southernmost seaside holiday resorts in Marche, with wide sandy beaches and exotic plants surrounding its waterfront. Perfect for kids, it's also a great destination for experiencing the nightlife of the Marche Riviera!
Porto San Giorgio
Right on the coast, promenades on the seafront in this seaside town are surrounded by century-old palm trees and early 20th-century Art Nouveau buildings. Great for evening entertainment, it is also perfect for families thanks to the large play area on the seafront in Bambinopoli Square.
Moresco
On the hill of Moresco, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, its castle towers over everything, surrounded by walls. From here you can see the view ranging from Mount Conero to Gran Sasso! Get lost in the alleys, discover the ancient towers of the village, the church turned into a portico, the art gallery and even lu teatrì, the small theater of the former church of Santa Sofia, now deconsecrated.
Monterubbiano
Monterubbiano has received the Touring Club's Orange Flag, making it among the best villages to visit in the hinterland. Its history is full of charm, from the ancient medieval setting to the supremacy of the Sforza family, which then went to the Church. Try the famous “fried tagliatelle,” from the very secret recipe born within the village.
Ripatransone
Called the “belvedere of Piceno,” from this Touring Club Orange Flag town you can enjoy one of the best views in the surrounding area! What's more, it has a singular attraction among its streets: the narrowest alley in Italy, so tiny that it doesn't even have a name, just 43 centimeters long.
Grottammare alta
Originally a medieval village in the town of Grottammare, it is a small town gathered on the edge of a hill overlooking the sea. The walk among its rustic houses and narrow streets is so enjoyable, coupled with the scent of orange groves.
Loreto
A world-famous pilgrimage destination, the city of Loreto is one of the symbolic places of Christianity. In its great basilica you can see the Holy House of Mary of Nazareth, which was brought to Italy after the fall of the Crusaders' reign in the Holy Land, and many other art treasures such as Pomarancio's frescoes and Bramante's marbles that adorn the Holy House itself.
Recanati
Recanati is the birthplace of the great poet Giacomo Leopardi. Here every square, every street and every house speaks of him and his literary genius. Visit the small square of the Sabato del Villaggio: this is where Palazzo Leopardi overlooks, where the poet was born and where you will find his 20,000-volume Library. The city stands on the famous hills of Infinity, a place with good art, history, music and good food dwell.
Sibillini Mountains
Between Marche and Umbria, the Sibillini Mountains are one of the biggest mountain ranges of the Apennines. For a full immersion in nature, try one of the many sports and outdoor activities such as mountain biking, rafting, hiking, snowshoeing, horseback riding and gliding.
Lame Rosse
Have you ever heard of the canyon in Marche? The Lame Rosse are located in the Sibillini Mountains National Park. It is a trekking trail among red pinnacles, peaks and forests that will almost make you feel in a U.S. landscape! Follow it and reach the turquoise-water Lake Fiastra.
Castelluccio di Norcia
The flowering of Castelluccio di Norcia is one of the most enchanting experiences in Italy! Here, nature will amaze you. In early summer, its plateaus become a mosaic of colors, ranging from yellow ochre to red, thanks to the spontaneous flowering of so many flower species such as gentianellas, narcissuses, violets, poppies, buttercups, asphodels, clovers, sorrels and many others.
Visit to wineries in Marche
The wines of Marche are renowned throughout Italy and beyond! In the province of Fermo there are several wines with DOCG and DOC denominations: among the red ones there are Offida and Rosso Piceno, while for the white ones there is Falerio, a wine made with 100% Pecorino grapes, but also Passerina and Trebbiano. Visit one of the local wineries to enjoy them, with also some other typical products.
